This yoghurt breakfast bowl combines all the yummiest fruit the summer season has to offer and combines it with vegan yoghurt, soft oats and allll the toppings for a breakfast that is the perfect mix of juicy, creamy and crunchy!

Picture this: It’s summer – you’ve got tons of awesome plans for the day, and you just want to make something for breakfast quickly that will keep you satisfied for a long time and is healthy and yummy. This summery yoghurt breakfast bowl has you covered!

A note on the choice of yoghurt:

When it comes to ingredients lists, the simpler the better. Try to avoid the brands that use stabilisers, acidity regulators, flavourings, sugar, etc. My personal favourite yoghurt right now is this one from Sojade, which only contains water, soy beans and yoghurt cultures. Some other factors which really make me love this brand is that it’s affordable, and they use organic soybeans grown in France (so you’re not supporting the deforestation of tropical rainforests nor the use of GMOs!).

Unfortunately, many vegan yoghurt brands are full of very questionable (and definitely unnecessary) ingredients. To make this meal as nourishing and healthy as it should be, I recommend going for the unsweetened, plain kind and to look at the ingredients list.

Of course, you can also always make your own yoghurt! And it’s quite easy to do – let me know if you’d like a guide on this!

Switching it up

This recipe can super easily be personalised: change the yoghurt (coconut yoghurt is a great alternative!), the types of fruits you use (berries, mango, apricots, … so many options!) or even the toppings (how about macadamia or pecan nuts, or coconut flakes and peanut butter?).

  1. Place the oats and cinnamon in a small bowl and stir to combine. Then add the yoghurt, and stir again. Add a splash of plant milk until you reach the desired consistency.

  2. Add the chopped fruits and nuts, then top with a sprinkle of hemp seeds and cacao nibs. That's it! Dig in :)
